Core-Banking
Core-banking software, by definition, is the software that
runs the bank. But retail banks expect their core systems
to do more than they did a decade ago. These days, banks want
to be customer-centric, not product-centric; at the same time,
they are more cost-conscious: they look to technology to reduce
overhead and shave cost out of each transaction. As a core-banking
software provider, Zapio Technologies is busily evolving to
address these needs
We have, over the past five years, focused the technology
it develops on the strategies of the customers it serves.
"We really try to understand what the bank is trying
to do, their business objectives and their longer term plans
for growth," says company Technical Director P.B.Bashith
. "As part of our core competency, we focus on trying
to make banks more successful. Our challenge is to help them
understand how the utilization of our solution can help get
them there."
Better customer management is part of the package. "We
are a core-banking provider, but on a mission to reinvent
core: to extend it from traditional, account processing all
the way to the desktop of the bank and ultimately to the bank's
customer," Bashith continues. "So we are including
data collection techniques and storing information for CRM
in a single accessible database."

Intra-Banking Network Encryptor
2.0
The Zapio IBNE2.0 Digital Link Network Encryptor
is a FPGA based bulk encryptor is a FPGA based
bulk encryptor appliance designed for high-density
secure Voice, Fax and Data Communication in independent
mode that requires strategic level security between
banks with high reliability.
The Zapio IBNE2.0 is configured with-2*
Date(Ethernet)Ports. 1 Phone line and 1 Fax line.
The Zapio IBNE2.0 appliances is fabricated
around a Crypto Engine developed on a XILINX Virtex-II
FPGA. AES Algorithm (Rijndal – 128,196 &
256 bit) is the de-facto crypto-standards, but
can be replaced by two-fish, Serpant or any Stream
ciphers - AES (OFB Mode), SNOW2.0 or TRIVIUM.
The product works on wired (E1/E3/T1) and VSAT/Satellite
based communication – up to 2Mbps.
The Zapio IBNE2.0 device encrypt the
date bit-by-bit, using the key stream output of
a highly sophisticated, nonlinear, pseudo-random
key generator. The non-error-propagating encryption
algorithm and burst synchronization techniques
used by the Zapio IBNE2.0 are compatible
with all VSAT and satellite data communication,
up to 2.048 Mbps. In full duplex mode, Key variables
can be automatically downloaded.
The Zapio IBNE2.0 ia an emission-hardened
unit designed to operate in a fail-safe communications
network environment, The unit is operator transparent,
with user-friendly features to reduce the probability
of the operator error.
Tamper and probe resistant design as well as lock
protected access control, ensure operational integrity.
